Egypt soar in April’s FIBA 3x3 Federation Rankings

MIES (3x3) – Egypt made a big jump while Argentina, Bahrain and Venezuela also climbed up the FIBA 3x3 Federation Rankings on 1 April 2016.

3x3 continues to boom in Egypt, that reached Top 20 in both youth categories rankings (14th in Women U18 and 17th in Men U18) and climbed to 30th in Men and 31st in Women following the U18 Egypt Tour.

In the men’s categories, Serbia and Netherlands crawled up to 4th and 5th while Bulgaria entered the Top 50 and Bahrain made its first appearance in the Top 100 (71st) after the 1st Bahrain Clubs Youth Tournament.

In the women’s categories, Uruguay made their way to the Top 20 and Venezuela gained 18 spots to 27th overall. Egypt also had a double-digit growth (to 31st) but not as impressive as Bahrain who gained 32 spots after organising the 1st Bahrain Women Championships.

In the U18 men’s categories, Brazil improved to 5th overall and Uruguay joined the Top 10 following several stages of the National Quest. Egypt gained 8 spots to 17th and Bahrain cracked the Top 50.

In the U18 women’s categories, Argentina jumped from 40 to 10th after the AFMB final. Egypt leaped to 14th overall while the national trial for the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships helped Venezuela climb all the way to 24th overall.
