Top 5 reasons to watch the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Chengdu Masters 2017

22 Sept 2017

CHENGDU (FIBA 3x3 World Tour) - We are back to give you with 5 reasons to follow the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Chengdu Masters for free on our Facebook and YouTube channels on September 23-24.

At number one, we might sound like a broken record but here’s a team that breaks records for a living. If Novi Sad Al Wahda win in Chengdu, they’ll become the first-team ever to win 4 World Tour Masters in the same season, feeling like a rockstar like Post Malone and Savage.

Our pick at number 2 is Team Riga, who have won their 3rd challenger of the season 2 weeks ago but still haven’t moved past the semi-finals at the World Tour. How do you say we’re winning this one in sign language, Nauris Miezis?

At number 3, we have 2 Japanese teams and 4 Chinese squads here to prove Asian teams have a word to say at the World Tour. Last year at the Abu Dhabi Final, Hamamatsu went all the way to the title game and my man Keita Suzuki is the best example Asian ballers can get buckets at the World Tour.

At 4, it’s the nerve-breaking race to the World Tour Final. At the moment, just 3 teams have booked their ticket to Beijing: Masters winners Novi Sad Al Wahda, Ljubljana and Liman. In Chengdu, the other teams can clinch their spot by winning the event or making a big push in the World Tour standings. Another good performance in China and Zemun, Riga, Kranj, Piran and Hamamatsu will have one foot in Beijing.

Last but not least, at 5, it’s the return of the dunk champ Rafal 'Lipek' Lipinski. The Polish hammer-thrower had dunks more scary than the clown in IT this summer at the World Cup. Dunk jury, can we get a 30?
