LOS ANGELES (USA) – Princeton had a perfect day on the opening day of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Los Angeles Masters powered by L.A. Masters on September 20, 2019.

The only U.S. team at the event showed no mercy in Pool D, conceding just 15 points in 2 games. Princeton followed up a 19-8 win against Amsterdam (NED) with the demolition of Rio Norte in the Tissot Fastest Game of the Day.

There were still more than 4 minutes on the game-clock when Zahir Carrington finished the game from the charity stripe. The high-flying Carrington led his team in scoring with 15 points. He had a rare triple five (8 points – 5 highlights – 5 rebounds) against Amsterdam. His team-mate Kareem Maddox chipped in 14 points.

The number 1 team in the world Novi Sad (SRB) was the only one to win both games before the 10-minute limit. Dusan Bulut topped all scorers (tied with Dimeo van der Horst of Amsterdam (NED)) on Day 1 with 19 points: 11 in a 21-11 win versus Ulaanbaatar and 8 more in a 21-17 nail-biter against Lausanne (SUI).
