First list of 3x3 World Tour 2022 qualifiers announced

31 Mar 2022

MIES (Switzerland) - Just one month after announcing the biggest-ever 3x3 World Tour season, FIBA unveiled the first batch of Challengers and Super Quests on the road to the World Tour.

The Super Quests are invitational events that are played before the start of the World Tour season while the Challengers are the premium international qualifiers to the World Tour. Both qualify teams directly to 3x3's flagship competition. You can learn more about the FIBA 3x3 competition network on the FIBA 3x3 official website.

Here is the list of confirmed Challengers and Super Quests, sorted by FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters to which they qualify.

WT Manila - May 28-29
Super Quest Ulaanbaatar - May 6-7
Super Quest Manila - April 30 - May 1

WT Prague - July 30-31
Ulaanbaatar Challenger - May 21- 22
Poitiers Challenger - July 1-2
ING Hamburg Challenger - July 8-9*

WT Lausanne - August 19-20
Ultra Novi Sad Challenger - June 3-4**

WT Debrecen - August 27-28
Pristina Challenger - July 16-17

WT Montreal - September 3-4

WT Cebu - October 1-2
Quebec Challenger - August 20-21

Sixteen invitational teams take part in each Challenger and Super Quest and the two finalists stamp their ticket to a designated FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters (unless they are already qualified to the same Masters).

There are 3 ways to qualify for a FIBA 3x3 Challenger:

1. Win a lite quest event (a tour or a standalone event which qualifies directly to a challenger)
2. Rank as high as possible in the FIBA 3x3 Team Ranking (best ranked teams - at the moment of auto-allocation 5 weeks before the event - have preferential access to challengers)
3. Get one of the wildcards from the tournament hosts

A first list of lite quests will be announced at a later stage and available on play.fiba3x3. basketball.

All organizers interested in hosting a 3x3 Lite Quest, Super Quest or a Challenger in the future can contact FIBA's 3x3 team.
